Following the success of the World Cup 1966 range, Subbuteo released a 1970 World Cup range packaged in beautifully labelled boxes. This time, each team was also assigned a reference number, unlike the previous release where they were separate.
However, the 1970 World Cup range marked the last instance of a “separate” range for the World Cup. When the next World Cup came around in 1974, only the teams absent from the range were added, without any special labeling or packaging to distinguish them.
(ANY VARIATIONS ON THE LABELS THEMSELVES WILL BE FOUND ON A THE STAMPED AND LABELLED PAGE)
