When the HW figure was introduced, the 1966 World Cup range was also made available with HW figures. Many teams either qualified again for the 1970 World Cup or were transferred to the main range. However, there was still a need for adedicated page for the non-qualifying teams that had a “World Cup box” but didn’t make it to the 1970 tournament. Argentina and Chile were eventually moved to the main range in 1970/71, taking reference numbers 67 and 68, respectively. However, poor old Hungary had to wait until reference number 281 to join the main range.
