Lunula (Also known as the Lewis Lunula Collection) Was a collection of hand painted teams.

The main seller of Lunula was Tom Taylor who owned a Subbuteo Shop in Lichfield Known as Woodentop Table Soccer Shop before relocating to Knighton Wales (also renaming the shop to Peldroed Bwrdd). As new Subbuteo content dried up Tom Taylor kept the flag flying firstly bringing Zeugo to the UK with new teams being painted up to meet demand of teams not in the Official Zeugo range… He then added the Lunula Range of teams added along side Zeugo .. These were closer Modern flat base range teams (As Zeugo was the First Edition range so all HW bases). Info is short but from what I’ve Seen I believe he used up old Subbuteo stock on some Lunula teams and also used any flat base was used such as Sureshots to name just one… (Only seen a few in the flesh so can’t guarantee this without further info)

These were done to order most of the time and more teams were regularly added. The Lunula as well as the Zeugo Woodentop range ran until roughly 2010….

I must add Years before Subbuteo did it and was heralded as “game changers”or “breaking the mould” Lunula had womens teams range nearly 20 years earlier (No fan fare back then)…. although I’m yet to find any pics I know they exist…

Im not sure if Lunula was sold elsewhere but I highly suspect it wasn’t.
