Just to add the the already complicated Zeugo range there was also this Reboxed Zeugo range called Inside. Zeugo and the Edillio Parodi name helps sell Zeugo in italy thanks to the association to the original Subbuteo. I also believe that in the Uk Zeugo means something thanks to the likes of Subbuteo World heavily pushing the brand since they switched over from Soccer 3d teams in 2006 and thanks to this A LOT of English and Scottish teams being made by Parodi and Subbuteo World helped out that too. Comparing the English and Scottish teams and the amount of the Italians side to other European Countries. Its night and day in the quantity.
However, outside of Italy and the UK (to a lesser extent), The word Zëugo is meaningless and tricky to pronounce. To help grow Zeugo in the Belgian and French Markets while Subbuteo was in hiatus between the Parodi licence and the Netcam one, two table soccer playing Belgian brothers, by the name of Frederic and Cedric Vanton, wanted to expand the Zëugo game into Belgium and France.
They formed a company, SPRL Play the Game International, and bought a license for Zëugo for these two markets. They signed an exclusive deal with the Playclub (Joue Club) and were mainly found in there Stores … This may have been a mistake in hindsight as it lowered the accessibility of finding the product in my opinion they were just getting the ball rolling so it may have made sense at the time….
From the outside looking in its essentially it was Zeugo in a different box with a new name and that name was Inside (or Inside Football). The figures where the same the base was the same and the players had the usual Zeugo on the bases like normal. it was a box and nothing else to separate it.
OR SO IT SEEMS. Thomas Ponte pointed out the Inside Soccer figurines are made with a lower quality plastic than the Zeügo ones and are lighter. When the figurine touches the ball, a hollow noise is heard which makes it difficult to lift the ball for long shots. I need to test this out myself to see if its true or not….
The game launched with a box set in quite a few Versions (all the same but with different teams instead if the standard red and blue). plus a range of teams. The teams included some from proper range with proper numbers but not all teams that were available in the zeugo range at the team BUT glaring misses like no Arsenal! But fear not they were still sold but from what i gather not part of the numbered range (there really is no telling what is what in this line) This also featured a more comprehensive range of Belgian and French club sides of which was yet to feature. To add to the confusion, Some these were given reference numbers in the standard Zëugo range (so the Belgian sides are mostly in the 120s and was transferred over to the Main Zeugo Line.
Im not sure when this range ran till but im pretty sure didn’t do at all well and is no longer found anywhere on the net for sale and info is nigh on impossible to find apart from a few teams Wobbly hobby shop is selling and what is on Peter Uptons website (I borrowed most of what i have written here from there). Info is nigh on impossible to find so to have as much info as i have on this site was a minor success. MY theory goes that this ran from roughly 2010 till when im not sure but i doubt it lasted more than a year or two. Having looked at the on the “Wayback Machine” at there website (which no longer exists) proves the site was active from 2010 until early 2013 but was not really updated since 2011. Sadly it was the timing of the launch we was further away from Subbuteo being a big thing and with Smartphones etc. It was always an uphill struggle without in brand recognition. Subbuteo nowadays suffers the same problems kids just don’t want to play it BUT Subbuteo still has that brand recognition so to extent its still viable to make in this day an age. A parent see Subbuteo on the shelf having not seen it for years instantly are back to there childhood. This is something the Inside Range never had… Zeugo came out at the right time originally and being that Italy have a thriving community it has its place in the pecking order and if the name Zeugo doesn’t have the Recognition then Edilio Parodi
On the whole this is just my speculation in part of why Inside failed.
I was lucky enough to be sent By Pete from Subbuteo World the only Known Catalogues made for this range and most of the pictures are from that on this page (also found another on the original site too when looking on the “Wayback machine” ). I will add real pictures As and when a real team pops up but for now its Catalogue images. (I don’t hold out many more as i am sure a lot may never have been made… but time will tell)
The catalogues where broken up into 5 or so different ones. I think they did this in the hope to maybe push into other markets notice not Italian one so that could be the thinking behind this…(just a theory). So i will separate them in the (teams tab below) into different pages/catalogues like how they set out there catalogues so some teams may appear more than once (keep an eye out for Inside Exclusive teams that never made it to the real range) I will also add to the picture if they were also in the real range too.
Click on the button to see what teams was done but INSIDE!. Also a page for accessories of which again is just re boxed Zeugo items again and box sets too. This is all the info i have on this line at the moment anymore info would be great let me know!
IF you Have teams,Accessories, or sets in the Inside packaging let me know would love to get some more pics. !! Picture of team boxes below so keep an eye out and other inside products all have similar packaging….

Many Thanks to the following
Subbuteo World (For sending the catalogues)
Peter Upton (for borrowing a lot of the info)
Thomas Ponte (For providing more info too)
