The Main Form of Cut out team from the Early years of Subbuteo… They are more and have a less Hand drawn Look to them and are have more recognizable look to them very similar to the Celluloid Alf Figures…
Cut out teams go from Ref 1 – 17 and where then replaced by the more Common Press out format for the 1949/50 Catalogue… Unsold stock Remained available up until 1954…
On this original list, it was a team with black and white stripes and white shorts. However, this was an extremely short-lived team. Later in the 1949/50 Season, Peter Adolph had released an “amendments and additions” sheet for this list, which stated that “ref 5 is not now stocked”. by the 1950 Catalogue it had been Replaced with the Ref 5 we all know (Sky Blue team)… This has been spotted in Cut out…. so this means there is a chance the 18-24 teams were also made in the Cut out form but none have surfaced so whether this is possible remains to be seen…
