The First Subbuteo Player Type Released in 1947. When these teams were first released, teams were simply printed onto plain sheet of card, and needed to be cut out with scissors by the player but within a few years they had moved on to a press out strip. These Card teams were Replaced by the stronger Celluloid players but were kept in the range for a cheaper alternative. The teams were sold up till they were removed from sale by Waddingtons in the Early 70’s. Some of the later teams/variations are missing but its assumed they were done as Ref 55 has been spotted and the Card range ran alongside the Celluloid and all 1-55 have appeared there…
The Card Team Ranges Goes from Ref 1 – 55 (For More Info on the Player type Visit Peter Upton’s Subbuteo site)
