This set was released in 1980 featuring the 4 Previous World Cup winners at the time and were only available for a few years only between 1980/81. The set was done on the, At the time, Brand new LW figure of which at the time was in mainstream use so this set proved to be a testing product to see how the figure was accepted by the Subbuteo Community… Each of the Teams Came in there own Named Box and the 4 teams came in a Unique Slip case.
The Teams are as followed: England 1966, Brazil 1970, West Germany 1974 and Argentina 1978… All wearing the kits they were wearing on the day they lifted the World Cup Trophy. They can come in a mixture of HP and MP teams or All Hp or all MP there is no set rules in this set maybe it changed per production run?…. My set for the record , although lacking the outer sleeve are all HP teams except Argentina…
